The dreaded A/H1N1 strain of the influenza virus has entered the school as potential place of risk when it registered its first student victim, a foreign exchange student from the De La Salle University in Manila.
USC too has its share of foreign exchange students, and some USC students went to Manila for summer vacation. One of the responsibilities of the university is to ensure that it will have the capability to protect adequately the Carolinians from this epidemic, and also to have adequate training of personnel to ensure proper response procedure in case this epidemic arrives here as well.
